www.fivestarvbc.com/ Colorado Youth Volleyball info... ***CYL just started in Colorado last season and the idea behind it is to give middle school kids a chance to play more competitive volleyball while getting a taste of what club volleyball entails, which is quite a bit more of a commitment financially, physically, and mentally.***Please keep an eye on the website for open gyms starting in the near future!!!
League runs at the same time as the high school volleyball season
Season officially starts SEPTEMBER (Practices begin)
Tournaments begin OCTOBER, every Saturday until the end of October

CYL for ALL clubs goes something like this: September 1st-October 31st: ***Practices begin twice a week for 1.5-2 hours ***Tournaments begin the first weekend in October on SATURDAYS, every SATURDAY in October. ***The cost is a LOT less than club volleyball.
Rocky Mountain Regional Volleyball... (CLUB volleyball) ***Club volleyball is a whirlwind of volleyball running from November 1st through the end of April and sometimes May. Tryouts for club volleyball (all/any club volleyball team) begins sometime in the beginning of July. Check websites for try-outs. Most clubs charge a fee to try out, not all but some. Most also prefer prior registration but will still take walk-ins if they have space available.
Club volleyball for ALL clubs goes something like this: November 1st-December 31st: ***Practices are usually twice a week for two hours. Older teams will sometimes have mandatory weight training on Saturdays or during the week sometime. Practices can be any day of the week…and are mandatory for all players. ***Teams might have a friendship tournament or a random tournament during this time but only if the club directors choose. ***Real tournaments, POWERS, begin the first week in January. Odd aged teams have tournaments one weekend and even aged teams another weekend. ***There are usually 6 POWERS between January and April with practices still going on. ***POWERS are generally ALWAYS on Sundays. ***There are random tournaments; such as, The Classic and The Showdown that are two and three day tournaments in January and February, respectively. ***Club volleyball is a HUGE time commitment, financial commitment, and mental commitment (for the athlete, the parents, siblings, and whomever has to transport the player to everything)
